I don’t know what about you, but I’m a big fan of Halloween. It’s one of my favourite holidays after Christmas. The falling leaves, pumpkin carving, cooler nights (even in Cyprus) and the Celtic Halloween traditions – these are all my favourite things about Halloween.
When I was growing up in Hungary, we never celebrated Halloween. There was no trick-or-treating. It’s an entirely new tradition that spread like fire in Eastern- and Central-Europe. Now they do celebrate it, but in the ’80s, when I was a kid, it was a new holiday.
When we moved into Ireland, that was the time when I got to know Halloween, especially the traditional Irish Samhain, fascinated me. It has deep roots in Irish history and folklore.
I know, that Halloween it’s not only about pretty or scary decoration, but it has a meaning to many people. However, I like the fun part of it too.
Here are some great boho Halloween decoration ideas from homemakers, designers from all around the world. Check them out; they are worth it! The good thing about it is that you don’t have to spend a fortune to decorate your home. You can do it on a smaller budget too.
Boo Boulevard by Sara
I have to say that Sara’s – aka @saraashouri – Halloween decor is really tasteful. It reminds me Scandi boho decor with all the black and white decor elements. I love her “Boo Boulevard” sign; it’s fun.
It’s true that sometimes less is more. I like that Sara doesn’t overuse the Halloween decor, but it still has those scary vibes. What do you think?

Neutral Halloween by Jeanette
Jeanette – aka @neatlyembellished – went for the neutral vibes when it comes to Halloween decor this year. She emphasises the transition from summer to fall. She also has an excellent tip for everyone:
A quick tip for now, whatever you do not use when decorating this year you might consider purging. It’s way easier to get rid of seasonal items before or during the season than after.
I did a big decluttering this year while visiting my mum in Hungary. Don’t get me wrong because I always loved my parents from the bottom of my heart. But you don’t want to leave all your clutter behind for your kids to sort it out when you are gone.
Jeanette is also a professional organiser, so she knows what she is talking about. 👍

The fairy lights, the pumpkins, the gorgeous flowers are part of her pretty Halloween decor. Carly tells about herself that she is a cosy enthusiast with a passion for design. She is also an obsessive thrifter who does daily decor of their 2015 home. Oh, and Jordan is a monochrome obsessed.
Another cool Halloween decoration by Carly, I’m literally in love with it. 🖤

Book of Spells
Shayna’s – aka @shaynathemamabear – Halloween decor proves that decoration doesn’t have to be over the top to look really awesome. She is also an avid DIY’er. Just check out her Book of Spells.
She just ripped the covers off a couple of old books and stamped them. It looks brilliant and very vintage. Don’t you just love it?

Ashley -aka @therenovatedhomeofchaos – is a mama of 4 and she has some seriously spooky boho Halloween decor in her home. It’s 100% bohemian and OTT, but we love it, don’t we? She loves fall and Halloween as much as I (and you who is reading this article) do. 🎃

When I saw this picture of Jen’s -aka @beautifulinspire.co – amazing front door, I literally fell in love with it. It’s peachy-pink, and it’s beautiful plus those pumpkins go really well with the colour. And I also
Dream of
Crips air
Falling leaves
Autumn colours
Flannel, boots and
Pumpkin everything.

Falloween at Brittany’s
Brittany – aka @athomewithbritt – is slowly adding her beautiful Halloween decor to her home. I never heard the expression “Falloween” before, but I love it. 👻
This cute decoration just makes home cosy home even cosier. You just want to curl up on her sofa with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate with full of Marshmallows.☕
Brittany lives in a small town, and she loves thrifting, antiquing and drinking coffee. Do check out her page; it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Halloween Coffee Bar by Rox
Rox – aka @houseofvandel – lives in Canada and I love her Halloween Coffee Bar. It looks gorgeous, and she didn’t break the bank to make it.
Because Rox lives in Canada, she doesn’t have access to the cute Target dollar spot Halloween jars (I love her frugal approach), so she just hacks some.
She has lots of potion bottles and cute labels. She styles in some thrifted finds and voilá, her inexpensive Halloween Coffee Bar is ready.
