I’m a mom of an 8-year-old boy who he eats a lot. So I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Cooking, washing up, preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner then rinse and repeat. I suppose I’m not the only one with this “problem”. 😀
That’s why it’s important to have a nice boho kitchen where I can spend a lot of time. Of course, there are some great decor ideas on how you can decorate your bohemian kitchen. There are plenty of options. My great Insta friends have some amazing ideas, tips and tricks on how to make your kitchen more bohemian and cosier.
Boho kitchen table
I think the soul of a boho kitchen and dining room is the kitchen or dining table. That’s the place where the family gathers together and feels home. I don’t know what about you but when it comes to the dining table I prefer wooden furniture.
Especially when you have kids it’s definitely easier to clean. I used to have a glass kitchen and dining table in the past but they weren’t my favourite. It’s much harder to keep it clean plus I think it looks much better in a boho kitchen.
It feels less minimalistic and cosier than modern furniture. I even love the smell of wood so I am all in for wooden boho kitchen table.
To be honest I’m literally in love with Yvonne’s – aka @sixat21 – beautiful dining table. She lives in Ireland and she had a beautiful cottage. Her kitchen and dining room is so pretty, cosy, hygge. The list is endless. Plus it has that extra vintage, eclectic vibe you just need to feel good there.

Boho kitchen cabinet
One of my favourite boho kitchens belongs to my dear Insta friend, Martine – aka @the_spotted_zebra – who lives in Australia. Her bohemian kitchen is absolutely amazing. The colour of her cabinets and the decoration are just amazing. It’s such a pretty and wonderful place. Just have a look at it.

Even the cabinet door handles look amazing, absolutely perfect. I think it’s really important to choose the right colour of the kitchen cabinets. I have had all creme coloured cabinets in the past and I didn’t like them at all. Really hard to keep them clean. Every single fingerprint can be seen so I would stick to darker colours as Martine did.
I feel also in love with Anne’s aka @annalysejacobs – beautiful kitchen. The colour of her cabinets is truly amazing. Even it’s a relatively smaller kitchen it doesn’t look crowded. It’s really pretty and makes even the gloomiest rainy day in London brighter.

Kitchen wall decoration
Let’s not forget about the kitchen wall decoration either. We obviously need our pots and pans so they are part of the decoration too but we do need some wall art that brightens up our boring kitchen walls. Maybe some photos, pictures, ceramics, plants, you name it.
Just use your imagination and make your boho kitchen cosier, prettier and more beautiful.

Have a look at April’s barn home style amazing kitchen, even her kitchen trashcan is bohemian. She used only peel and stick wallpaper and voilá, your boho bin is ready. Have you ever seen such beautiful trashcan? I haven’t 😀
Check also out Kim’s aka @colorful_kimmes kitchen, it’s bursting with colours. She also has awesome wall art and even her fridge looks really cool. I smile every single time when I have a look at Kim’s gorgeous kitchen.

Cool kitchen flooring
It’s also important to choose the right kitchen flooring. I think Kim does – aka @colorful_kimmes – a pretty good job (see it above). Her black and white checkered floor looks really cool. Plus it’s easy to clean too because it’s tile.
If you are not a big fan of tiles then you can go for pretty rugs too like Anna – aka @annalysejacobs – did. Her rug is absolutely gorgeous and to be honest, all my favourite colours are on it. Plus I also love the wooden floor and rug combination. Especially in the wintertime is much more cosier than tiles.

Pretty boho oven/stove
Yes, you read it right, a kitchen oven can be pretty, bold and funky too. When I first saw Tina’s – aka @eclectic_twist – oven I immediately fell in love with it. Just have a look at this beautiful oven below, all you can wish for in your boho kitchen. Even the colour is perfect.

Sometimes less is more
When I think about Scandinavian boho kitchens they do make sense. Less stuff, less cleaning and more simplicity. A good example of Scandi boho kitchen is by Kirsten aka @skovbon – whose beautiful kitchen is to die for. It has style and taste. Plants, cool artwork on the wall and cool kitchen accessories. The perfect combination!

Jonna’s – aka @jonnatykkaa – amazing kitchen is also a great example of the Scandinavian boho style in Finland. Her hygge Scandi style is really gorgeous. You just want to walk into this pretty place and have a nice cup of coffee. It’s the perfect kitchen to watch a summer storm go by and still feel cosy.
