I’m a big fan of Christmas and know you are too if you are reading this post. Since I was a kid, I got into the holiday spirit in no time. In my home country, we always decorate our Christmas tree in the afternoon on the 24th of December. Tradition has changed in the past 30-40 years, and people are decorating their home at the beginning of December, even at the end of November.
I am an only child, so I decorated the tree with my mum and dad. 2020 is going to be the first Christmas that I can’t celebrate it with my parents. There are no flights from Cyprus, so I can’t visit her and spend Christmas with her. My dad died last year of cancer, so our Christmases are not the same anymore.
But even this Christmas is going to sadder and very emotional for me (and for many other people too) we are going to do our best and make this the best Christmas ever for my son. He needs the Christmas spirit, the fairy lights, the scent of home-baked Christmas cookies and last but not least the magic of this beautiful holiday.
I love Instagram around Christmas because there are plenty of gorgeous pictures everywhere.
Here is some inspiration on how to decorate your boho home for Christmas. It’s never too early to start your holiday decoration 😉:
Boho decor by Shary from Florida

White boho Christmas tree by Denise
Denise lives in London, and I’ve just discovered her fantastic page. Thank you, IG and Denise. I fell in love with the look of a white Christmas tree. We don’t have snow in Cyprus, only in the mountains where the climate isn’t the Mediterranean, so I miss white Xmas. But thanks to @sculptureyourhome I found this awesome, white tree. It looks so pure. ❄️

Haley’s homemade boho tree
Haley’s – aka @haley__made – Christmas tree has 100% bohemian vibes plus it can be a fun upcycling project too. I’m definitely is going to make this tree because I love it (heart eyes). You don’t need much to create a bit of Xmas magic. I have some driftwood from the beach and white (or you can use colours too).
So here’s how you can make it:
1 – Gather all that scrap wood, the power tools, and yarn you can find and start making one for yourself!
2 – Build the Christmas Tree frame! Use whatever dimensions/shape you want!
3 – Drill holes and attach wooden dowels with wood glue!
4 – Add yarn using various techniques! I used #hookandloop, made tassels, pom-poms and a simple wrapping technique! Get fancy with it! You could even add miniature ornaments too!
5 – Display the magic and give yourself a high five for making the cutest Christmas tree decoration!
Who else is going to make one of these cuties? 🎄

Winter Pearl picks and Diamond Mirrored Geometric ornaments. The garland on the mantel is a mix of greenery and succulents. It’s so pretty! I’m in love. 😍

Modern boho Christmas in San Francisco
Beautiful thoughts on Christmas by @dwelling_by_merrittandmarlee – Peace on Earth ❤️ This season of 2020 has been far from peaceful, but if anything, it has caused us to slow down and think. Instead of counting all the things that “have not” been, let’s find wonder, joy and beauty as we wander into December. Celebrating the magical twinkle of lights, the warmth of a fire, sweet sips of hot chocolate and share our delight with the ones in our homes. ❤️
I love this modern boho home; it’s cosy, pretty and peaceful. ☮️
